9th seasonal exhibition ” The NAM Collection Ikor-3 (Iyeerep) “

The term iyeerep means “third” in the Ainu language. This exhibition is the third installment of The NAM Collection series, which is named after the Ainu word ikor, meaning “treasure,” referring to the cherished cultural materials preserved by the museum.

About this Exhibition

NAM organizes exhibitions, research and educational programs, human resource development, collection management, and the development of museum networks related to Ainu culture.

This seasonal exhibition centers on the collection of these items and introduces NAM’s behind-the-scenes activities of collecting, organizing, preserving, and utilizing the materials. We hope this serves as an opportunity for you to take an interest in our work and related initiatives. The exhibition aims to make Ainu cultural materials more accessible to the public while highlighting our ongoing efforts to pass this cultural heritage on to future generations.
